How I become a consignor in the Spring & Summer sale event? Have lots (or a little) to sell? Come join us as a consignor and get it out of the house and earn money too! Registration is online, and the opening date will be announced soon. We have online registration and tagging system for our Spring & Summer 2020 Sale. Our system will allow for online registration, streamlined and organized tagging, and the ability to access sale information from your account any time! We are excited to introduce this organized system to our sale as it continues to grow! If you are new to our sale, please create a user account. Returning sellers / volunteers with accounts already may login. Once online registration for consignors has reached capacity, opportunities will still exist to register as a volunteer.
How much can I expect to earn as a consignor? Our consignors earn 60-70% of their sold item sales total. 60% is earned as a consignor without volunteering for the sale, 70% is earned by working just one shift! Information on being a volunteer is found here. The remaining proceeds go to fund the sale's mission: Oak Grove Children’s Consignment Sale is a ministry collaboration that unites church, preschool, and greater community by providing affordable children’s clothing and equipment. Sale proceeds are used to support preschool activities, church, and community partners. You will hang/package and tag your own items and will determine your own prices. You can also choose to discount items during our half price sale or donate items at the end of the sale, the choice is yours!
What items do you accept in the sale? We accept children's and baby items in new and gently used condition that are seasonally appropriate to our sale, currently Spring & Summer clothing styles. Baby gear and large items are accepted and sell very well. Indoor and outdoor toys, books, games, crafts, maternity, baby care, shoes, and clothing (Preemie-Size 20 kids). If it is for kids and in good condition, we will probably take it!
Can I sell my boutique items in the sale? Of course! Specialty brands should be designated with a Boutique Blue Ribbon! For items in the following brands, you should tie a blue ribbon at the top of the hanger or attach to the item to indicate a boutique brand. This will help buyers identify boutique brands more easily and earn you more money for your high quality items! Brands include: o Mini Boden o Baby Boden o Tea Collection o Lilly Pulitzer o Ugg o Mini Melissa o See Kai Run o Matilda Jane o Hanna Andersson o Hunter o Shrimp and Grits o Eleanor Rose o Chocolate Soup o Vineyard Vines o Vive la Fete o Anavini o Crescent Moon o Petit Ami
I don't have time to consign, do you take donations? Yes! You are welcome to donate your gently used Spring & Summer items to be placed in our sale with all proceeds going to our sale mission or given to our community partners, which include PIN (Parents In Need) Ministry and The Salvation Army. We welcome donations up until the week of the sale (the sale starts March 20). Please contact us at Oakgrovepreschoolconsignment@gmail.com to donate.
Help! How much should I price my items for and how do I tag them? Pricing is the name of the game in a consignment sale! Google is your friend for pricing questions as there are many comprehensive pricing guides online. It's important to ask yourself "How much would I pay for this item?" Sellers who price reasonably and allow items to be discounted on half-price day generally sell a higher percentage of their items. Click here for our extensive informational guide to all of your tagging questions. Remember to secure your tag firmly to your item so it can sell!
